F.A.Q.

• You must Reserve Your Time & Purchase Tickets before arriving. No walk-ins are allowed. We are limiting the number of people during each time slot. 
• All Tickets & Specials have a 2-hour time limit.
• Tickets & Specials are valid for the season that they are purchased in. Typically a season is December 26 - March 1.

We cannot predict our season opening date. We need several days of below-freezing temperatures (preferably 28 degrees or colder) to make snow and have it stick to the hill. Once we start making snow, we will update the Website and Facebook pages.  Our target date for opening is always December 26th.

If there is bad weather, either too warm or too snowy and we feel we need to close the course for safety, we will announce it on the Home Page of the Website & Facebook. You are also encouraged to call ahead if you are unsure of conditions.

Runs depend on hill conditions and amount of people in your time slot. There are certain days and time slots that are busier than others. 

• When it is below freezing and the snow is packed down, the lanes get fast!
• As the saying goes... "Natural Snow Makes It Slow". Our man-made snow is like a ball of ice, natural snow is a flake. The flakes actually act like velcro on the tubes and you will get stuck on the hill.
• If it gets to 45 degrees in the middle of the day with the sun out, the lanes will slow down quite a bit and you may get stuck.
• We can see conditions change hour by hour based on temperature and sun.
• It is best to check the Home Page for up to the hour conditions.

Our Miner's Pub is open on the second floor of our Clubhouse. There is an additional snack bar located in the Tubing Shop Lobby for grab & go items. Any food that is not purchased from Iron Valley must be consumed at your vehicle. Drinks containing alcohol are prohibited unless purchased from Iron Valley as per Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board regulations. 

Restrooms are located in the Clubhouse and our Grand Pavilion. We ask that if possible to please change into your winter gear at your vehicle. We have to limit the number of people using the restrooms.

Children must be at least 40” tall to ride the large hill. We do not allow children to ride with adults.  Children smaller than the minimum required height for the large hill may use the Kiddie Hill (when available).   

We have a tow lift that will pull you and your tube up to the top of the hill.

You are encouraged to wear good, outdoor clothing. Warm boots, a warm coat, hat, and gloves are suggested. Snow pants are highly recommended.

Free parking is available right next to the tubing hill and clubhouse.

Only tubes provided by Iron Valley Tubing are allowed on the slope.
